Access to nutritious food isn’t just about hunger — it’s about care, culture, and community. For generations, Native communities have understood that food is medicine. Yet today, many families still face barriers to access healthy meals. As a result, chronic illnesses increase, children struggle to thrive, and added stress rises when families must choose between groceries and other essential needs. At Oklahoma City Indian Clinic, healthcare extends beyond the exam room to ensure families have the nourishment they need not only to survive, but to truly thrive.
